I came across this bit of bizarre news that A&E plans to end its H2 and begin a Vice channel providing shows like "Gaycation (with Ellen Page and Ian Daniel), Huang’s World (with Eddie Huang), Noisey (with Zach Goldbaum), VICE World Of Sports (with Sal Masekela), Black Market (with Michael K. Williams), Flophouse, Party Legends, Weediquette (with Krishna Andavolu), and more." LOL.

Can anyone doubt the decline of western civilization is upon us? This is even worse than the current reality, bigfoot, and ghost shows they try to pass off as history programs.

Speaking of extremely bad TV. The other night some obscure channel, I believe Travel USA or something was doing a live broadcast from the actual house that the movie The Exorcist was based on. Now normally I would not give it a second thought but being it was from St Louis I thought I would DVR it. I watched it the other night, mein gott, you would have to be mentally challenged to even begin to think this was factual. The people went in the house and were claiming it was hard to breath, it was cold, you name it. They carried these goofy little machines that measured something. Who knows what. Just absolute ludicrous TV.

The ghost industry is huge in Gettysburg. Mostly harmless stuff but there are an amazing number of people who take it seriously. The ghost TV shows mostly involve people roaming about in the dark and shouting "did you hear that?" They have never once visited a place and found no evidence of a haunting.

This is why I dropped my cable subscription 8 years ago. I got tired of paying for crap I didn't want to watch.

Speaking of which, isn't it amazing how the media companies got the public to swallow the idea of paying for something that was once free of charge and available everywhere? "A fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place."--Harry Anderson

Prost!

So the transition from History 2 to Vice apparently began this week. What a disgusting array of TV shows. I can't even post the names of most of these shows. I'm no prude but this is a sad commentary on where things stand. This is a step down even from the ghost and UFO shows.

...........What a disgusting array of TV shows. ............
So don't watch them. I have close to 300 channels available with only about 30 in my personal channel
guide. I don't expect them all to be tailored for me,

I find enough to watch in the amout of viewing time I have. I avoid anything with zombies, vampires,
dysfunctional cops, Hitler, OJ Simpson and the likes of MSNBC. Still my DVR is backed up.

P.S.
I detest Sports.

I won't. The trouble is that this is apparently what someone believes the public will watch in lieu of one of the few educational channels. A sad commentary on society.

I agree, but it is a small portion of the 330,000,000 American population comprises that sad commentary.
Still not near as many that fell for that hope and change malarkey.

Oh, I just detest Professional Sports. Great fan of high school and college,

I am paying Time Warner Cable extra to get the H2 Channel; I wouldn't watch Vice on a bet. I wonder if they will give me a refund? Yep, when hell freezes over.
