History Channel, The Bible vs. Vikings (1 Viewer)

I watched about 5 minutes of the Bible, then switched to something more interesting, The Food Channel!

I went over Exodus in the KJB today and all the "bromance" between Moses and the young Pharaoh is strictly Cecil B. DeMille and Dreamworks.

For forum purposes, the Bible is in the same category as any other religion's holy writings...unkind words about them will only serve to anger religious followers. We really don't want to go there.

No offense meant to anyone or any religion.......I just thought the production was "juvenile" and not based on historical research.

That, and these HC "woo" programs with aliens, big feet, and mythology as history are not..... history. Some context of what pharaoh was in power and where the locations and times the biblical events took place would be nice. The material culture, clothing, politics, weapons, and technology of the Viking series alone makes it worth watching even though it's based on a semi-legendary king.

Have to love the history channel! -Oh wait, you DON't have to love it- good thing, 'cause it's pretty bad!
