I'm curious as to what magazines people read to keep up on their military history.

I'm a fan of Civil War Times and Military History. They seem to have quality stories that are more than just a rehash of obvious stuff.

I haven't been as impressed with Military Heritage. It seems a bit too cheesy.

While Shannon is the Treefrog lady, I'm the history buff of the family. I'm always on the lookout for more good material!

The only magazines I subscribe to are World War II and WWII History.Great articles, stories and pic's.I just started to get Toy Farmer so I'm up to date on the farm toy side of things.Pete, did you order the 1/32 Versatile Big Roy duo.

I subscribe to Military Heritage, North and South, WWll magazine and Toy Soldier and Figure magazine. North and South is coming out this month with a new history magazine (6 issues year) covering all periods of history. Been a long wait seeing I subscribed over a year ago but they claim it is being mailed?Leadmen New magazine is "Military Chronicles".

Hi All, I really enjoy the articles in Military History Quarterly. They are very detailed and cover the entire spectrum of military history. I also enjoy the Military History magazine which I agree has better articles than Military Heritage. Another magazine I enjoy is the military publication from my old branch Armor Magazine which has some very interesting articles on historic as well as current operations underway in Iraq.

I have a pretty extensive library of WWII books. I have looked through the various magazines but only read one or two on occasion. Two excellent books I have just finished. "Stalin" by Simon Sebag Montefiore. Excellent, very well written and informative. "Khrushchev" by William Taubman. Dry, a much more difficult read. And I am currently enjoying "The Fall of Berlin 1945" by Antony Beevor. A very interesting account of this event.

There is a reaally good collection of magazines often posted on e-bay, which was printed in the late 60's early 70's by Marshall Cavendish called History of the Second World War. The collection covered every detail of the war from start to finish. I picked up a set, it is excellent.

Cement Shoes, I believe that is the same set of magazines my son,s father in law just gave me. About 100 different issues? I don,t think I have all of them , but there are quite a few. Any value to them?
Gary

I have that series-about 105 issues. Don't know value of them. Nice publication. Leadmen

Any of you guy's on the other side of the pond get or read BBC History Magazine? It's a good read with lots of great reference photos.

Bob,

This one's new on me but sounds like something I'd like to get. Do you have an internet link or a phone number/address for contact?
