Hiw to paint Conte figs (1 Viewer)

Hello I'm wondering if anyone would be able to help me I'm trying to paint conte saxons and Vikings and next I'm going to paint there ww2 figures but the paint seems to flake and is very easy to rub off I'm currently using toy soldier grey primer army painter paints and rustoleum clear coat

I suppose that you are painting plastic figures?

If so what i always do is wash them in water with some dish washing liquid, and this removes the oil that is used to lubricate the injection mould.

I then coat (paint) them with a diluted solution of PVA glue which then gives a coat that will receive an enamel primer that I spay on from a can.

You can the apply the colour after that.
