Again I got to these late as they were being deleted. Do other collectors see figures come out and think 'Yeah gotta have them but not now as I have other figures to buy'. Then time goes by and before you know it they are being deleted. I tend to look at more of the K&C deleted items in the monthly dispatches than the new figures!

Anyway some great looking early French infantry defending a small French town in North East France 1914. The war was more mobile then of course. I have got the first batch and will get the next lot of Empire Miniatures Belgium's from 1914. I wonder did the French and Belgian forces ever fight side by side?

beautiful figures Garry. the buildings fit in nicely
guy:smile2:

IMO the 1914 French are some of KC's best figures. Good sculpts and crisp painting and you have to love the colors they wore. -- Al

I never picked up the early French but do have almost all of the early Germans K & C made. Nice display.

I don't have much detail but I know French forces supported Belgian forces during the fighting for Namur in August, 1914, so a display with them together would not be inaccurate. -- Al

Cheers for the intel. They shall stand together again against the hated Bosh!
