Yo Troopers, can anyone help out, looking to go to Rome Italy in September, dont know if we have any members from there. Looking for a good hotel not far from the Vatican etc, plus this Trooper needs a disabled scooter now, bit of a come down from a Tank, but there you go, cannot walk to far these days, but can still swing a mean sabre lol. If anyone can help, also do they do Toy Soldiers there by any chance lol, that would be a plus.
Bernard.:D

I would send a private message to Zup66 he is a great guy and could most
likely provide you with the information, as he lives there.

Tell Max I told you to contact him, and give him my best.

He is a nice fellow!

Always glad to help! Max is a great guy, hope he was able to help!

Hope you have a great trip! I have been there once.....many many

moons ago, over 30 years!:eek::eek:

We did have a nice time!

I would send an email, not a pm to Max, as he hasn't been on since May.

Max shows he was last online today. Last time we chatted he said he had

been busy with other things.:) Music, wine, women, the usual things that

distract us Italians:D:D

When I went to Rome last year I used Expedia as it show how close the hotels are to all the sites
Expect a long wait getting into Vatican up to two hours & watch out for pick pockets

When I was in Rome I took the train to Monte Cassino :D

I would recommend staying in the Grand Hotel Parco de Principe . . . its right adjacent to the Borgese Gardens (where the Bernini Museum is located), there are real ancient Roman ruins on the hotel's property, and it is within easy reach of everything. It is super luxurious, and the concierge can't be beat for recommending excellent restaurants, tours, etc. Its my favorite hotel anywhere.

Great photo of the Cassio! Can't imagine having to be one of the WWII grunts that had to assault that day after day!:eek:

Yo Trooper Louis, can't you speak English (concierge) just wasted 10 minutes looking it up, Doorman, or hotel slave would have done for me lol:D. Cheers for the info mate.
Bernard.
