At first I thought they are Scots Grey, when maybe Highlanders, I give up. The pipe banner doesn't seem to match anything I have found. I have added three photos. Thats again for the help. Not sure what the piper with the red banner is suppose to be, he was in with the rest.

The Scots Greys were cavalry and were amalgamated into the Scots Dragoon Guards. I don't think any of the figures in these groups depicts them.

The first batch of pipers look like they've been painted to depict the Royal Stuart tartan. I think they're supposed to be the pipers from the Scots Guards. But those who are fans of Britains and of the British army will know better.

Prost!

These are Scots Guards I painted from Britains castings supplied from RP World Models.

Yes, they have Royal Stuart tartans, blue coats, but a light blue hackle.

The pipers shown have a red hackle, so they have to be Black Watch whose pipers also have Royal Stuart tartans, but a green coat.

The piper I painted shown here with Black Watch drummer and Royal Marine (all by Brigadiers Toy Soldiers) shows those colours.

I hope that helps,

No, they are all (pictures 1 to 4) Black Watch including the red coats.

Only pipers wore green coats and the red Hunting Stuart Tartan the rest wore the green/blue Government Tartan but all soldier had the red hackle, that the give away !!!

This is a Britains Black Watch band so you can see what I mean

What has me confused, among many other things, is the book I have said the Black Watch had a dark green tunic and banner. The ones I have are dark blue?

Hi, John, did you mean to insert a picture in this post? After "...RP World Models."? I only ask, because I don't see one, but your response sounds like you might have inserted a picture. I didn't want to miss anything!

Prost!

Brad what I meant was the castings were made by Britains, but they were bought from RP World Models in Nottingham who had a load of castings for sale, and probably still do.
