With all the interest in the FL Tiger, I thought it would be a good time to post pictures of my Honour Bound GOLD Tiger #222

Excellent photos. I like the subdued colors that Honor Bound used. The FL Tiger I #222 colors are too bright IMO. The Figarti Tiger I #222 are too subdued and/or weathered. I look forward to a comprehensive review of all three manufacturers Tiger I #222 in a side by side comparison. Only a few collectors would be able to do such a review given the cost of these 3 Panzers. Based upon the photos I have seen of all three posted on the Forum, I consider them to be closely equivalent in quality and accuracy and probably the best made late production Tiger I's to date.

The most cost effective is the Figarti example; but it only has one opening hatch; the Kommanders Cupola and it is a command Panzer; which I am not sure #222 was. The actual Turret numbers of Michel Wittmann's ride at Villers-Bocage also remains in dispute by some sources.

The Honor Bound Gold Tiger remains the standard of excellence for a late production Tiger I. The only issues I am aware of is a number of turrets were made too long and overhung the hull hatches, the hatches are fixed in an open position and the tracks are not quite as detailed as the Figarti and FL examples; which use a different material. Frank verified the turret overhang issue on his example and pointed to the over long turret as the source of the problem. Interestingly only some of the production run had this problem!

Andy,

It looks fantastic! I think mine is nearly identical.

Here's a couple of shots of mine, Number 205 rather than 222, but otherwise pretty much identical:

Louis, Yes your #205 looks very similar. I like the extra accessories on front of the tank.

Looking forward to seeing you again in Chicago at September OTS Show, Andy
