I know a couple of people have indicated an interest in getting a Horsa Glider a la King and Country style. I was looking at the Motion Models website yesterday and see that they now carry one. No idea the cost or what scale but here's the link, http://www.motionmodels.com/custraf.html

Here is a photo.

I hope they would be in a position to customise the paint job, as I wouldn't want the D-Day invasion stripes if I were to consider getting one.

Joe,

They can do it anyway you want it. In fact, they can make anything you want in any scale. Average delivery time for custom models is 4 to 6 months.

Yeah, but the problem is the price. They quoted me $1,700 for a 1/32 scale PBY Catalina, so I can only imagine a larger Horsa Glider would be even more expensive.

That's about right. I spent about $2,000 on my 1/30 scale C-47 Dakota (includes shipping & handlinjg from the Philippines).

BTW, these models (Horsa, et. al.) are made of Philippine Mahogany. Be sure they are kiln dried so they don't warp as a result of changing temperatures specially if you're from the East Coast.

Hope to hook that Horsa with my C-47!

I would imagine it would be rather expensive. I will check tomorrow with them to see what it might be in 32 scale. I've got a feeling that the above photo was in 44 scale.
