Just interest to know what people think about how to dispose their toy soldiers collection. I mean only if you are not interst in some lines like WWII, civil war, Napoleonic et. I do not have a huge collections so I sold those I did not interest anymore to the local traders and collector. Save some space and then buy some new items. I did not sell them on eBay as said I did not have too many for sale. Besides paying eBay and Paypal commission and queuing up in the post office for delivery is a pain to me.

I'll gladly take them off your hands if you want to dispose of any:)...Sammy

You can sell them here but whatever you do it will involve Paypal and, at the very least, going to the post office. That just can't be avoided.

EBay will give you the best exposure possible for something like toy soldiers which are not mainstream.
Every auction house charge a premium. I also collect old furnitures and fees are anywhere between 15-20% premium plus 15% local taxes..
I think that ebay and paypal fees are fair.

I'm giving mine all away to this very nice 5 year old (dad, I'm 5 and 3 quarters) boy I know. I don't envy his packing all of my stuff. I also have large 28mm armies for several eras.

But to get back to the question, I think a trusted dealer or attending a local show is a very good way to go.

Thanks for everyone's comments about the topic. In fact, I still love the remaining of my limited collection of toy soldiers, I heard from other big collectors who mentioned that they will donate their collections to the local educational institutions and some others who always put their unwanted items either on eBay or the forum for sale. Some say they will pass the collections to their next generation. All these make me curious how other collectors have either big or small collections (like me) how to dispose their collections once they are not interested at their collections.
Again, thanks to those who replied to this thread.
