All,

Currently I only have my IPhone to take photos, and only an IPad to browse, no PC no more.
I am very pleased with the quality of photos the IPhone delivers but unfortunately the resizing possibility I have right now, is taking a lot away from the sharpness.
I am using an App called “Image Size”. With it I can go down to the maximum allowed size of 800 x 600 pixel, but the crisp, sharp appearance of the original photo is lost then.

Can anyone point out a way to keep the quality of the photos but get down to the required forum size?
I would very much appreciate any help.

Thank you!

Konrad

If you go to the App Store, there are various programs. However, I suggest a photo hosting service, which does it for you. I use SmugMug and couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Thanks, Brad,
I will check that out.

This should be easy

1. Launch the Photos app.
2. Find the photo you would like to crop.
3. Tap Edit.
4. Tap the crop button in the lower left corner. It looks like a square with two arrows circling it.
5. Tap the crop box button in the lower right corner. It should be located above the Done icon.
6. Tap the size you would like to crop your photo to.

If you’re referring to the photo app that comes installed on the phone, the problem with the iPhone is that photos may come out lopsided, a problem you avoid with an app from their App Store ore a photo hosting service.

I'll second that. I use Postimage, which is free.

The advantage to using a photo host is that you don't have to worry about resizing images to conform to this or that forum's or web page's requirements and restrictions on file size and dimensions. You simply use a link in your post, and let the web browser do the work.

Generally, photo hosts offer editing tools, if you do want to edit your raw image file, eg, crop out dead space, etc. But again, it's done in one place.

Prost!
