Hello All,
I thought it would be worthwhile to post some of the pictures of our work and their prices and some background information on our business. For the past 18 years our main focus at Hudson & Allen Studio has always been research, design and consulting for both the model miniature and museum diorama worlds. Samples of our museum work can be seen in the life cast mannequins at Pamplin Park Civil War Museum and the River Raison 1812 Battlefield Museum. Samples of our miniature dioramas can be seen at the Monroe County Historical Museum's Custer-Little Bighorn Diorama. Direct retail has also played a part in our business, with our line of 25mm Scale buildings (available at www.wargamescenics.com) and the larger scale scenic products (barbed wire, ration boxes, decals etc.) carried by retailers such as Treefrog Treasures.
As many of you know, Ken has sculpted figures and design accessories for companies such as Barzos, Conte, Corgi, Ertl, ONTC, Troiani, Valiant and of course, W.Britain under First Gear. So it seemed to be part of a natural progression to offer finished scenics to go with the high quality military miniatures available to the collector today. Below is a small smattering of some of the products we brought to the OTSN show and their prices.

All the Best,
Ericka Osen

Our Shelf Scenic Dioramas are typically 28" by 11" to fit in to a standard bookshelf. They range in price from $200 for a grassy field edged with a hedgerow and foliage, up to $600 for rocky cliffs and handmade trees.
All of our products are made here in the USA. All trees, fences and scenic accessories are made one at a time, by hand, in our studio. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you,
All the Best,
Ericka

Hi Ericka I would like to now what is the grass used in your dioramas? Is it available does it come in mat form and what it's called? Thanks

I'd like to know with all the pies you have your fingers in, how do you find the time to do all of this :D Which by the way is out of this world.

Thank you for posting the photos Ericka.

PS - Any luck in finding a one armed QEI ?

There's no doubt in my mind my Lady Ericka that Sir Ken is at this 24/7 for it sure seems like he is. What a pleasure seeing Ken's work and workmenship in the photos provided by both you and Carlos. Thanks for taking the time and sharing them. Nice photos of Ken and the Dio he's holding....The Lt.

Hello BritFarmer,
Alas, we did not find the one armed Queen, but it was not for want of people looking! There were a number of very kind gentleman that told me they were looking out for her. I do believe if she was there, she would have been found. Actually, I believe that Walt would heartily approve of a quest for the one lone piece being spread out over a number of years, it is very much in keeping with how he approached this hobby and indeed many things in life. So the quest continues!
Thanks for the thoughts,
All the Best,
Ericka

Hi Shiloh,
Well, the short answer to the question is "If I told ya, I'd hafta Killya". The grass you see is a H&A product that is only sold in finished dioramas. The process involved in making it is rather intensive and not something that we would be willing to inflict on fellow collectors (while our masochistic streak is pretty deep, our sadistic streak isn't:D). For now we just call it "H&A wild grass". Hope this kinda answers your questions.
All the Best,
Ericka
