As I was looking at some of ther older images that we have on our photo gallery I ran across these from Dick Wood. Even though I've seem them before, I was again blown away.

Now THAT is a full sized diorama!

Thanks for that Peter. This is the kind of diorama, that motivates folks like me. Thanks to Dick Woods for a Bridge not to far enough. The figures don't always have to be painted. It's like a good black and white movie. Thanks Mike.

Very cool I am impressed. A totally different take from the norm around here. I hope Arnhem44 sees this one.

Now THAT'S the one I want!

Nothing like Supersizing it.

I,ve seen a few of this guys other set ups and believe it or not this is one of the smaller ones.

Dick built the bridge from a model railroading version and did a boatload of customizing to it. If Arnhem 44 sees this, he'll soil himself.........

Like the Thread Creating theThe Battle of The Bulge it would be great if a Thread was started Title Market Garden. With all of the talented members whose main inerest is WWII. I'm sure photos of their collections or Dioramas would provide some great enjoyment highlighting event of the campaign. The photos of Dick Woods shown earlier tell a great story. It also would not be a bad idea for other Threads being done for examples The Alamo, The North African Campaign, along with events that took place during the Napolionic War as well as the Civil War and others........Just a thought but I'm sure if their begun it'll be a pleasure for all to see and take part in ....The Lt.

I keep coming back to look at this one. That bridge is just awesome.

I like your idea Lt. and I encourage people to start threads for specific eras of dioramas--especially people whose original diorama pictures didn't make the jump to the new server.
The forum has been growing astronomically lately and the more organized the threads the better and more easily people will be able to find what they are looking for.

Regards,

Shannon it's nice to know you support the idea and it's also another great way for members to interact featuring photos of their collection. Such an example would be a small scene from Market Garden with the Germans hiden as a Tank or two are on the road or other small or larger scenes of the event depicting Brithish as well as American paratroopers engaging or preparing to engage the Germans and like wise for the Germans. It could become another way of war gaming via the net using photos provided by those who take part. As for the Alamo, Civial War, French and Indian War, The American War of Independence and the War of 1812 and let's not forget the Nepolionic Wars for FUBAR & FISH WOULD NEVER FORGIVE ME. It's a way that members can show their collection of KING and COUNTRY, BRITIANS, CONTE, and others featured on the forum both in METAL and PLASTIC (painted or unpainted ). It'll also provide members with smaller or limited collections to feature their figures. Hopefully the above will catch on.....The Lt.

As a follow up to my previous reply I'm sure your aware that a picture is worth a thousand words. So I've take the liberty of using the following photos to bring across a point. Just picture the first photo as two tanks on the narrow highway, the second as a medic either German, America or a Yankee soldier being attended by a doctor, the thrid a photo of your favorite hero from any period and last but not least the Nips attacking the Marines. A single photo with a single figure can tell quite a story. Hopefully a group of threads will be started in the near or immediate future.....Joe "The Lt."
