I finally organized some series in my hutch...

top shelf...1812...

middle shelf...Jacobites...

bottom shelf...St. Francis and a few B of M that I plan to keep...

I still don't have room for what's left of my B of M figures (about 20 sets still in the boxes that I plan to Ebay)...my Snow Shoes series...whaleboats or canoes...and my Abenaki village...but the larger percentage of my collection is on display in my cabinet...

I have my Snow Shoes displayed in my office...

the Abenaki village still holds the kitchen table hostage...

my God...those Jacobites look lonely...the upcoming Piper will pull them all together I guess...hahahaha....

Where are the Sudan sets going? How about a sandbox for changing scenes? I think you will eventually need to add a museum to your home such as Louis has. How about a Jenkins Toy Soldier symposium for the Southwest at your "museum" with John as guest speaker for 2011? :)

Beautifully done. I especially like the 1812 display --- those flags just jump out at you, but the charging Scots seem a tad outnumbered.

Can you give us the length and width of shelves in the cabinet?

Randy...like the joke says..."We're gonna need a bigger truck"...

Ken...it's 49" x 15" interior...it would fit inside yours...hahahaha...:D

like Fishhead told me one day...

"What is that...the "Battle of the Sardines?"...:D

The 12 sets of marching USCH05's take up a lot of room...

but they are my favorites...

anyway...they are out of the box...so that's a start...maybe I need some more shelves...

The title lead me to believe you had added rabbits to your Indian village HAHA :D

Very nice display you have Major General Sir !! :D :D

I swear...the same thought went through my head when I titled the thread...

a rabbit hutch...

and please............

call me just "Michael"...

I don't want to rank to intimidate anyone...hahahaha....:D:D:D

Most impressive collection Mike. When I was talking to John at the London show last month, your name cropped up more than once regarding numbers of figures collected.;)

Thank you Jeff...I could get diagnosed as "compulsive"...but I'm too scared to go to a shrink...

I have always felt that John's figures hold their resale value so am never intimidated about collecting multiples...

Very nice Mike. What is your favorite range?I would say 1812.
Mark

Those Jacobites are in big trouble without some reinforcements. Hopefully that piper knows a funeral tune. How come you sold off your Monongahela sets?

Mark...

definitely 1812...

I really think the USCH's are the best figures John does...

everybody says they are bland...the colors...the grays...

they seem vivid to me...

with the blue packs and canteens...

the dirty white pants...

the poses are the best...the sculpts are the best..

these are probably blown up to 8-9 inches big on your computer screen...

the detail is great...especially the gear on their back...

I really think it's his best work to date...definitely his newest big series...

also St. Francis...still love the Indians...

but the good news for me is...John's making Indians for 1812...

:D

Doug...

time for you to find a You Tube Scottish bagpipe hymn for them...;)

I know I saw a wounded flag bearer prototype from the London show pictures...he may help some...

there have only been 17 Highlanders issued so far...

they are all "one off" action figures...not the type you want two of in a diorama...

on the other hand...the Barrell's are exactly the type you want multiples on...

hence the discrepancy in numbers...

17 to 51...no wonder they lost so badly...

I'm asking John for a couple of 3 figure sets of Highlanders...

on the B of M's...

like the Godfather movie...

someone literally made me an offer I couldn't refuse...

it was just obscene...

I miss them horribly...especially with the new Line figures...

but...cest la vie...such is life...

Especially impressed with the 1812 section of your cabinet, Mike. I too think that these are my favorite JJ figures to date, and had hopes in the past of building a display of this magnitude, but I fear that ship has long sailed. Just have a few of the 1st Scots knocking around on a shelf at the moment. Sold my Scott's Bde and my BoM Grenadiers and Indians a while back to cover some expenses. Very regrettable indeed. I hope you are thinking about where to place the next hutch about now. :D

My interior shelf dimensions are 17 1/4 inches x 45 inches. Yours are 15 x 49, so call it even!! But i would love to have the additional width.

I just started collecting these have one each of the USCH'S at the moment. But I agree these are Johns best. Nice to know about the Indians.

Mine are only 23 x 13 but are the biggest I could find at any reasonable price. This limits any dioramas to small linear vignettes with one building at most or a row of building storefronts/facades. I would love to have even a few shelves with the extra width and depth.

I wish my cabinet was longer, wider and had one more shelf...

I really need to make or buy something else...

it would be nice to display all the figures in one room...
