Ok, this question was asked on this lot of figures:
25 Marx Canada Recast Robin Hood Playset Figures

Opening bid price is $4.99. Keep in mind that you cant even buy 25 of these figures for less than the $4.99 plus the shipping in domestic US... Ok, here is the question - you tell me if you think this is reasonable:

"Hi. Kinda nice group here. My 'thing' is: Is there Any way for me to pay You More and the PO LESS than almost $11 bucks? To me the auction has One price- the bidded amount AND the S&H. The S&H is no intangible 'extra' - It's Very Real and many times costs More than the item! I like to 'correct' that- as much as possible. So, IF I won, Could you do a 1st Class or Parcel Post 'way'- or is Your Priority Everything PO deal so very good? Me, I don't see any benefit in High cost S&H for lower end stuff- And Only an idiot would 'neg' someone's feedback for cheaper (MEANING slower) slow shipping That they ASKED FOR! I'd never do. But seeing as I only go into town 1-2x a week for mail- I'd like the S&H to be as cheap (but still safe= packed in a BOX) as possible. Well, think about it, And maybe I Can bid,"

Reasonable? I can't even understand what the heck is he saying

Here's my response:

"First class has a weight maximum lower than the weight of the figures, parcel post is like 10 cents less than priority mail and media mail is only for books and other media formats. And if I interpret this correctly - you want me to jump through all these hoops for maybe $10-15 bucks of business? Ugh. Sorry, no. Postage is set as it's set. If the postage comes out to less when I actually print the label I refund the difference. Check my feedback - you'll see that I don't do anything unethical."

Maybe I should have said that if he paid $100 I'd cover the shipping for him no problem.

Some people will argue with you endlessly on the difference of a few dollars. I just had this happen with yet another Canadian buyer too. The shipping charge for 8 pounds of books came out to about $29. He demanded the flat rate medium box at 26 or 27 but the books were an inch too long. Then he said something like "ok, I'll pay 26.95" or something like that. It was endless and, the sad part about it, was that he admitted to me that other people had done this to him and it pissed him off too. So I asked why he was putting me through it and he said "because why not? if I can get something out of it then its the worth the effort". So I asked if he wanted an unpaid strike and he paid. Lol, he gave me very nice feedback too. Sigh. There's always one or two people in an auction cycle who just have to be difficult and want you to beg for them to pay you what they already want and agreed to buy.
