I've been doing a little cleaning around the house and was dusting our christmas village (which is more of a year round thing because its only three buildings and we're a bit lazy with that sort of thing) and I realized that many of these buildings would be a great way to fill out a BoB display. For those of you not sure of what I'm talking about, I'm refering to the buildings usually sold in hallmark stores or many other places around the holidays. They are just a hair small to be in the forefront, but many of them would look great to add some depth, although there are a few big enough to pass in the front. Most have snow on them and many are not overly decorated for Christmas so they wouldn't look too out of place in a small Belgian village in Dec 1944.

Just a thought. Has anyone else tried that?

Andy has used Dept. 56 for some of his displays. They are also a good place for trees, buildings and other items.
