Hi folks, I need some help/info/opinions on a question concerning IDEAL Cavalry figures. I received a matching set of Ideal 7th Cav, including horses. Set is completely color-matched (blue). I have been told by an individual that because mine do not completely match the blue of the blue set belonging to this individual, that mine are recasts, or at the least that "something is wrong." My figures are a soft pliable plastic. Any comments would be much appreciated. By the way, the seller I bought these from said they are originals, and they arrived in a box filled with other 1950s/60s original figures. Thank you.

Nothing is wrong. Ideal cast figures in various shades of color as did all the major figure makers back in the '50's an '60's.
I have dozens of these in several different shades including some that are almost translucent.
You can find Marx 7 th Cavalry figures in several different shades of metallic blue.

Color matches were generally for the batch that was being run. The next time a batch was needed, the formula could be off a bit resulting in various shades.
Too much color additive or too little in the mixture is the cause.

No two runs are ever exactly the same.
