You can get it at Amazon.com Canada (www.amazon.ca) in NTSC format (US & Canada). I watched it when in France and the plot is a little bit tangential to the original story but still entertaining.

Fun! It's not Walt Disney's Treasure Island. Not even Stevenson's Treasure Island. There's the Beautiful lady who spends much time in her underwear. (Historically incoorect)

Finally watched it all the way through. Homosexuality, alcoholism, cannibalism, and serial murder. Then there's the Spanish!

Then there's the "glove thing."

And Jim ripping the Baroness's skirt off twice.

My favorite version has to be the Charleston Heston and Christian Bale version. For some reason, not found on DVD. Michael

THAT version is one of the best! Bale was the "toughest" Hawkins and Heston the scariest Silver. "THem what dies will be the lucky ones!" The shifting loyalties really came out.Turner owns it I imagine.
