Through begging and pleading and overt hint dropping, I was able to convince my wife that K&C soldiers would make the perfect Father's Day gift. I took the advice several of y'all offered when I originally posted and asked for recently retired figures. So I'm now the proud owner of ACW002 and ACW006. The quality and detail blow away the old soldiers I had.
Of course, now as Patton 360 is winding down on the History Channel, I'm thinking those WWII sets look pretty nice. I had a great-uncle in the 1st Infantry Divison who landed on Normandy and another great-uncle in the
106th ID that was captured at The Bulge, so I don't know which series would be better.
Oh no, I've caught the bug. Better get some bed rest so I can have the strength to stick with ACW.
