After a lot of thought I have just placed an order for a few French Chasseurs! These will be my first FL pieces and somehow I just feel like I have opened the floodgates!
Still have to have them in my hands, but I am sure, from what I have seen (and read), that I won't be disappointed.
I'll be back with some photos when I get them.

Congratulations. I think I have an idea of your collecting preferences and therefore strongly believe you will not regret it. Welcome to the group.

Very much looking forward to your pictures. FL generally only selling direct makes it hard for many to see examples of FL figures before ordering. I therefore believe posting pictures of FL figures is even more important than pictures of the products of other manufacturers.

Sorry Nap collectors, in a few short years I think my WWII boys will be no.1 !!!! when Matt and his team get into Normandy and Market -garden and so forth, (at some point) the different scenerios are gonna be awesome!!!! if you think the talk about the Stug/recon vehicle was wide open, I can only imagine some of the great releases ahead will stir up, but I'm glad we all have our favorite First Legion collections, Naps now, WWII coming on strong...Sammy

Any range looks very good from my point of view (photos only till now). I have considered Stalingrad, terrific realistic looking figures and larger than life battle, but for now it's Naps, I have been collecting Napoleonics for a while now and I believe these Nap uniforms look fantastic done by FL.
There are also other very colorful periods being done by FL mind you, and I suppose with the usual high quality. Think American Rev. (oh the 18th century...) or Samurai.
The Samurai range should not be overlooked IMHO, from what I have seen on photo these are possibly the best FL figures, such fantastic detail and again uniforms and gear that are there to inspire FL's talents... I know nothing about this period though and haven't collected it...yet...
I also believe Crusaders and/or Romans have tremendous potential in case FL ever does these periods. I personally would be very interested in those.
On step at a time I guess...

From what I have seen at shows on the tables of their North American show representative .No matter what period you are talking about WWII or Napoleonic ......no other company's product is even close to what First Legion are doing in terms of quality . Even without signs to distinguish who is who , its clear which ones are First Legion . I can see from your post you have a good eye for quality so no trouble there . You will not regret your choice of collecting First Legion All the Best Gebhard
