Every now and then I hear that David is still producing figures under Imperial Production banner - does anyone know if this is the case?

Very small numbers are being produced.

Basically people don't appreciate it is only a very small business and regularly 'buy out' the shop, they had to close for 3 months just to replenish enough for the local market as well.

I spoke to David a few days ago. He sent off my missing sets from the Crimean range. I now have all the primary sets from Crimea, all the Napoleonic sets and my favorite sets from Egypt/Sudan along with some miscellaneous early sets. We had a nice talk, but it sounds like he would love to be producing new sets (I think a number of us Imperial collectors have put him a bit behind on that front because he is trying to complete orders for collectors on existing sets instead of making new ones). I guess I no longer will be part of that problem since I have what I was missing :) Anyway, it would be great to see some new sets by the end of the year and was pushing for some more Naps.

The BEST always has a lot of demand. I myself am hungry for most of the Napoleonic sets but can only manage a moderate pace.

Cheers,
Paulo

Congrats Dan , I picked up the last couple I needed today [i,d used a couple as swaps to get some civil war sets ]so i,m also of the list of collectors who are bogging them down . Although I had a good look at the town and around sets today  . , I,m sure my daughter would like this series .

David rang me this morning to let me know another shipment was on the way from the Homeland! :D

He mentioned both of you had spoken to him recently (Paulo vicariously?)

Its sounds like he really needs a hand... someone out in the workshop with him to do a little metal work... I vote Vandilay because he is closest :p

It would make an interesting change from plumbing , but I can see one serious flaw .....
i,d probably end up buying more figures than I helped produce ;).

Rob I have to agree with you. I would love to do that. I would love to give the guy a hand. If money were no object I would fly down tomorrow. But where would I put all the ones I got? I can also paint. Remember those unpainted figures you sent me? I thought those came out well. What are the immigration rules for NZ?

Michael ,You did a first rate job on those guys [thus putting you to the top of the list ;)]. Immigration here is pretty tough I believe , after all their is 4 million of us now the country is overflowing :D . I,m sure like any profesion it could become a grind after a while but as they say a change is as good as a holiday.
