Any of you folks have any extra sets and/or duplicate sets they might want to swap?

I have a few, mostly Crimean sets, a couple of ACW sets, that I picked up over the years. Would be willing to swap one or more with one of you Treefroggers if there is a need or desire.

Perhaps this thread could turn into a mini-swap meet for Imperial fans. If you have Imperials to trade, post your haves and your wants and see what shakes out.

Mods feel free to delete if this would be deemed to be duplicative or counter-productive with the regular classified section.

Anyway, just Winter boredom setting in I guess.

Thoughts?

I have a duplicate Nap French Cuirassiers set but one of the horses has a broken leg (ankle level):(, otherwise mint. Does that count?

I have one odd set in my little hoard of Imperials, #73a Russian Light Infantry, that really doesn't plug into my needs. I collect British Army glossies, mostly marching and band sets. Perhaps you have some extra British Army themed Imperials that would fill the bill?

Have the box and foam inserts, so if this appeals, email or PM me if you'd like.

I have other glossy Russians and Russian themed stuff that really could be swapped off too, though not Imperials. Potsdammer Zinnsoldat and some from the St. Petersburg crowd; the makers I can't identify. They came from a friend's collection when he got away from it all and I bought the lot.

I have a few spares that I would be happy to trade, they are the result of my efforts to accumulate my Cameron's highlanders sets, where I have been picking up waifs and strays from sets that have been split up.

I have an almost complete Cameron's highlanders hs02 in action, 7 pieces absent being 6 men charging and the mounted officer. Box, foam packaging and sticker intact. Box has set # 14 on it
In addition I have 30 other figures from highlanders in action hs02 with box, mainly kneeling and standing figs.
I have 2/3 of an Hs01 set highlanders on parade including mounted officer , soldiers marching drum major and Colour party, but missing several pipers. This set also has a box (set 126)

I would consider trading these for other imperial sets (mainly Crimean although I'm short a couple of Zulu sets) or selling these to someone wanting to combine for the full sets. I'd also consider buying the missing pieces but as I already have full sets of each I'd like to see these go to a good home.

Hi Mark,

We had an earthquake here about three years ago with an epicenter only a couple of miles from my house. Needless to say, hundreds of my figures were knocked down and some were broken. This was especially true of my Imperial figures with their delicately balanced poses and small bases. For some reason, the tenor drum sticks (white ball) did not fare well. One tenor drum stick from HS 1 Camerons and one from No. 25 Black Watch broke off at the hand. I would be willing to trade the extra boxed No. 36 - 1st Dragoon Guards officer I have for those two drummers. It sounds like you may not have the No. 25 Black Watch tenor drummer, so maybe you could substitute something else.

Hi Mike,

Yes, I have a spare tenor drummer from HS1 you would be welcome to. If you have any other HS1 pieces with minor damage I could offer a replacement:
trooper marching (10), piper (4), colour guard (2), standard bearers (2) drum major, marching officer, side(?) drummers (3),
or of the HS2, any pieces except the officer. I have a spare drummer boy, 2x pipers and lots of standing & on guard & kneeling.
I dont have much in the way of other spares - a couple of 24th foot kneeling and a spare set #37.

Mark

Ive posted an album with my spare Highlanders.
I'd be keen to trade for any of the following:

Black Watch series #23 through #26
Highlander series #12/#13/#28 a/b/c
Zulu series #100/32/33

Mark,

Thanks, that would be great. One of the two standard bearers was also damaged, but they are packed away in the garage and I can't remember which one it is for sure. I'll check as soon as I can and let you know.
