To be contacted by a former Pltn leader,,wounded and evacuated after the major battle of my Viet tour,,to be able to inform him,,provide photos and information as to losses ,details on the situation then ,and go over the events as if it were this morning. A medic firing his THOMPSON along with a 45 as he cared for our wounded ,receiving a silver star,,an errant airstrike killing and wounding several of our men,, the combat lasting three days before the unit was pulled out.
