Information on AN 011 Release (1 Viewer)

Hello again everyone I have not posted for quite awhile been busy with my other Collections. This item recently came up as AN011 an Arnhem figure with a Sten Machine gun. I recall the AN011 release was authorized by Andy and released by a Dealer in the UK if my memory serves me correctly. It was initially said to be 50 pieces and was an Arnhem figure with a Thompson Machine gun. Over the years I have acquired a half dozen of that figure. When trying to identify the figure with the Sten Gun I found it doesn’t match any of the Arnhem Sets. I did find the figure in my collection and noticed it had the same base as the figure holding the Thompson. My question is what is the Sten Gun Figure? Was it also issued as part of the AN011 release? Was it needed to make up the 50 pieces? Was it a fill in for damaged pieces? Any input would be appreciated. I have the full Original Arnhem release probably times 3 including the Original Diorama Andy made for the release but this Sten Gunner is unique and interesting. Here is a picture of both.

Andy it was the last Diorama he made all the later ones for the various releases and special orders were made by his brother Gordon. His brother was an extremely talented master diorama builder whose works have often been featured here on the forum. Everyone was saddened when he passed, especially those that had the opportunity to meet and interact with him. The Diorama pictured in my post was built by Andy and carried to Chicago for the release of King and Country’s Arnhem first series. After the show it went to one of Andy’s dealers in the Chicago area. I acquired it from him many years ago.
