I am trying to help someone figure out pricing on some painted plastic kits by Airfix and Historex. Any advice or information would be appreciated! I have included a photo of one mounted figure. It is attached to the wooden base as shown.

I don't think there will be any particular value derived from the kit manufacture, in these cases, but rather, you'll want more to set the price according to the quality of the finish. The price of Airfix and Historex kits is highly speculative, but I'd venture a range for an unfinished kit from $5 to $15. But for a painted figure, it's going to depend on the quality of the finish. Also, connoisseur collectors these days are more likely to look down their noses at these old kit figures, unless it's a really outstanding job of finish.

Prost!

Yep, good idea, Vic! I like to check eBay and see what the opening and closing bids are, to research prices.

Thank you Brad and Victor for your input!
These are very well done and I was quite surprised by the detail of the painting since they are plastic kits.

Well it's completely depending of the skill of the painter and if he is famous ( used to win competition )
I have seen one in a shop here in Brussels, painted by Ray Lamb ( in 75 ) and the price was 20.000 bef, 500$ of that time
We are now 40 years later so guess ....
Here a picture of the piece ( Gold Medal )

will post soon some pictures of Historex
