This is an Austrian produced Television series. Quite good. A somewhat light crime drama.
It ran for eighteen seasons. I'm only up to Season 4 so far.

"There's a new crime-fighter in town: Inspector Rex! After his handler is killed, police dog Rex teams up with recently-divorced inspector Richard Moser to investigate crimes and solve mysteries on the streets of Vienna, with the help of their two-legged friend, Inspector Stockinger."
In later seasons the series moves from Vienna to Italy.

I watched the first season on Mhz also. Mhz is one of my favorite streaming sources. Acorn also except Acorn has much less.
