Saw in the paper this AM that Manfred Rommel, the 84 year old son of FM Erwin Rommel, passed away on November 7. A former mayor of Stuttgart, he had Parkinson's disease. RIP. -- Al

I met him in 1994, when I got to visit Stuttgart and the outlying areas with the Rotary. He was still in office at the time. Very nice gentleman.
