Me neither PA, had no idea so many Brits and Americans deserted and then went on to stay in France and Germany to live out their lives. This is an epic side of WW2 isn't it, the millions and millions of different human experiences across continents and years, all different, some good some terrible that so many people went through. Hard to imagine that most of those folk are now nearly all gone.
