Hi All,
I'm new to this board but have been collecting 1/32nd scale for about 6 years. Britains, FOV, Conte, 21st Century, etc. I'm sad to see that the volume of this scale collectibles has diminished a lot since I started, but at least it hadn't gone completely away. I really liked the ONTC and later Britains that came out before they both just sort of stopped doing WW2 for the most part. I'm hoping to gain some tips into building some decent dioramas and backgrounds for my small international army I've collected over the years. The collecting part led me to further feed my WW2 fetish as a tank crewman (Funker) on a full scale reproduction Panzer Mk III in a reenactment group. And soon will promote into a Mk IV that just started construction here in Colorado. I also reenact as an FJ and am currently building a US GI Impression for the 2nd AD for the 70th Anniversary for the liberation of France, in France/Belgium 2014. Anyone ever buy any of these figures from this place in AU and are they good quality? http://www.fleurbaixtoysoldiers.com.au/index1.html

Cheers!

It's a great pity World War II seems to have been abandoned by the 1/32 manufactures and conceded to the big 1/30 boys. I also have a collection of Second World War vehicles and figures built up with outputs from FoV, 21st Century, Britains and some others. The problem, I presume, is the expense of producing AFV and other support equipment to go with the figures. Thank heavens FoV are still providing compatable 1/32 armour. Perhaps the secret is to focus on operations where tanks etc did n't particularly feature. It would be great, say, if Britains celebrated next years 70th anniversay of D-Day by produceing a range of figures of British Paras capturing Pegasus Bridge.

There are still some prodigious manufacturers of 1/32 glossy World War II sets. When you get a chance, take a look under the Hiriart Forum at the various WWII themed sets in their catalog.
