Well look like I will need to replace my gaming rig pc and wonder what people think about the new ipads, just want something now to get on the net as I've got a ps3

Mate, if it is just for surfing the net, then I think they are fantastic, however if you want to download then it’s back to a PC (at least at present) … cheers, Alby

Cheer for that:wink2:

I suppose it has a lot to do how you work. That screen keyboard drives me crazy. Maybe not so
bad if you type very little and are a hunt and peck typist. Me, I'm a touch typist and had to get
a keyboard to go with it. And mouse. I'm used to a mouse. After you get accessories its portability
is dimished. iPhone I like better to take with me.

Nice thing is that with a wireless router I can take it anywhere. Where you can't get wireless you
have to get an account. Many apps available to make it easier to do the things most important, i.e.
bank accounts, News and etc. Small screen size is worthless to watch movies IMO. I use mine mostly
to read books, and there are cheaper book and magazine readers available.

Battery only lasts about ten hours, so make sure you recharge it every night. Utilizes thumb drives and
connects to my TV. Maybe you can rent one for a couple weeks for a test run. I wouldn't go cold turkey
from PC to the iPad for what that's worth.

Take a look at the Mac Airbook. Nice laptop.
