Yo Troopers, very pleased to add my old Dad's Regiment to the collection. Britains # 2078 Irish Guards At Present Arms. This is the only Guard Regiment in this pose as a single set, the only other was in the largest 83 figure set # 1555, were they had the Scots Guards at the Present. I bought this set with the Roan box on ebay but without the tie card, and only being a seven Infantry set instead of the usual eight thought I would never get the tie card. But a nice seller from the US (ja41r) had the card and let me have it for $15.00, so was well pleased with that. Just tied them in and took a photo for the album:D.
Bernard.

A nice looking set Bernard, glad you were able to complete it and bring it back to it's original glory.

Hi Bernard

Very nice indeed! I have a pair of these soldiers on my desk that Imanaged to nab in a bulk lot. They were actually the reason I bid on the lot. It seems liek they didnt make very many of these sets so to see one back in its box looking smart is very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing them

All the best

Dave

Truly lovely! I have two originals of these (I've managed to pick up some recasts here and there). Although I'm mad for repainting, I've left the originals untouched. I've never seen the officer up on Ebay-must be very rare indeed! On the other hand, the drum majors from the Drums and Bugles of the line seem to flock to me like fleas to a dog-there seems to be one in every other lot I bid on. Perhaps I'll have to put together a diorama, "Reunion of the Drum Majors of the Band of the Line". - Emily
