There is a new book out about the Iron Brigade: The Iron Brigade in Civil War and Memory: The Black Hats from Bull Run to Appomattox and Thereafter, by Lance Herdegen, issued by Savas Beattie.

The author will be on Virtualbooksigning.net today at 1pm eastern time. VBS is an on line way of seeing the author talk about his book live for an hour from the Abraham Lincoln Bookshop in Chicago. In case you can't make that time, all VBS programs are eventually uploaded to YouTube.

Also appearing on today's program will be Guy Fraker to discuss his book about Lincoln and the 8th Illinois Judicial Circuit, Lincoln's Ladder to the Presidency.

It's good to see you here. If you look around you will see some very good dioramas from some very committed Civil War enthusiasts.
