I do not know if it is the pandemic, but there are a few more delusional sellers on ebay lately, i was thinking that prices being asked by some were a little unrealistic, but then this was posted, start bid £130, damaged with no sword, plus economy postage of £10, which is over double the actual postage costs.

I had a look back and in the UK the last one sold 15 weeks ago for £57 [£6 postage], sold as new, undamaged.

There is also a TG Where Eagles Dare JU52 which is on sale for £2400 and has been on there for 18 months at the same price

Yeah, I see things like this from time to time.

At first it used to bother me, until I realize they really didn't want to sell it.

Unless, you met their price and conditions. If no bites, then they would be happy keeping it...

Also, you only need one buyer somewhere willing to buy their price and they are willing to wait.

I do agree, sometimes it seems like a real tease that gets old after awhile.

Cheers from a very wet and windy Southern England, today is a national holiday. Possibly that is why i am sat in the warm trawling ebay.

I don't want any of them, i just want to understand reasons, i agree with yours, but many such as the person with the MK set has only 1 K & C set to sell, probably has no clue, which is not their fault, but a bit of research and common sense would tell you something and what to do.

Some are just trying it on, but then again there are some people in these hard times that need to raise cash so need to sell, i have a lot of sympathy for those people as times are hard.

The guy with the plane has emailed me with the plane offer, he got my email address from someone who knows i collect, I have 15 TG planes. He offered to take £100 off it, but told him he is probably wanting double what it is worth, and I could just ask Blake at TG to make me one for around half his price, but do not actually like that version.

I have a few people contact me with collections for sale, as people have passed away and they want to sell, lately i am in no position [financially or display space], but do give some advice. On ebay prices, the only one that matters is price something has sold for, not what it is for sale at, plus look at the second highest bidder, as the guy that wanted most has it so that may not be, any longer, the current price. If it is a large collection and they do not have the time then just put it up for auction, best place in UK is Vectis. This could be the best option regarding money made against time and effort. Be happy with what you get for it, the collector, like me, probably got more joy out of it to make the original price worth it, making any money out of reselling pure profit.

I have found it interesting to note the highest price on E-bay of pieces from my own collection, then dream about selling the entire collection at the highest price of each individual item for sale on E-Bay.

It would certainly amount to a handsome sum of money.........
