"If nothing else crops up, we’ll finally came back home..."{eek3}

But none of it will be true (several little birds have told me :rolleyes:).

Okay, mates, to be continued...^&grin

Best regards

Enrico :)

Looking good Enrico.

I have to ask, what are your thoughts on this K&C tin? Honestly compared to the pieces we are use to.

EDIT:

I really like this shot-

Very realistic non combat diorama, I like it!!!{sm3}

According to what has I have already wrote several times, my thought is that there is no comparison with polystone vehicles, I wish to stress that the tin is not in the K&C mission. I know to bore you but I'm still waiting for a gray Opel Blitz in polystone,
cheers
Carlo

I agree with you. Shall we ask Andy to make a gray Opel Blitz in polystone? Are we too demanding? :eek: I’m sure that he can take our suggestions. Honestly, as Rob has been wrote, I haven’t liked that tin model next toy soldiers.

We'll just have to wait and see…:rolleyes:

Best regards

Enrico :)

P.s. : once again, thank you very much for all your comments:rolleyes2:

Dear Rob,

thank you very much for your compliment about my first "special" shot. You're right, I'd like using the polyston model next toy soldiers but, while we waiting for Andy to take good news on the doorstep, I keep using that tin model!!!:eek:

Best regards

Enrico:smile2:

P.s.: tin model isn't so bad, it seems just... odd {eek3}or unfit next our terrific toy soldiers...

I think with the popularity and use of the Opel during WWII, a grey poly-stone option would be fantastic. I was so tickled when I picked up K&C's DAK version from a 2nd hand seller several years ago.

Blitz! by Western Outlaw, on Flickr. I should revisit with some new pictures.

I own a grey version by Ultimate but it's more along the 1/32 scale:

Several years ago, K&C pictured one in a Kriegsmarine diorama. It looked excellent but I think it was a custom. Maybe one day...

Obviously I am biased...But I love the little tinplate Opel Blitz...Yes it is toylike but for me that is part of its particular charm...I love toy soldiers and toys so it works for me. It's great value too...See latest offer!

I fully accept it may not work for some others out there but one of the joys of this business is making all the things that I ever wanted as a kid but my parents could not afford... or were simply not available on the market at that time.

I still also love our 'poly' Blitz too...and am sure one day K&C will return to it also
In the meantime...All the best and happy collecting! Andy.

Hi Andy, completely understand.
Don't mean to hijack Enrico's topic here - his scene looks very good (in fact the Opel looks really nice as he's pictured). My apologies Enrico. Just curious though...
Did you collect Marx as a kid, Andy? It's what I remember most; those plastic army sets that seemed SO BIG as a kid.

I think many of us share these types of memories - and noses pressed against store windows, or those visits to the shops that sold awesome toys that we dreamed about owning.

Those great memories that seem to be "burnt in". One such Christmas:

Hi Andy,
thank you very much for your answer. As Rob has written, “a grey polystone option would be fantastic” but I’m going to keep the “little tinplate Opel Blitz”. I agree with you about its particular charm. This is my whole thought. If it had not been I’d not have used it. There's been a misunderstanding :eek: I apologise to Rob.:rolleyes:

Best regards

Enrico :smile2:

P.S.: Its price is very low!:{eek3}

Hi Rob,
Many thanks for your reply...Re Marx Playsets...Back in the day...They were very much an American toy, and to the best of my knowledge, not readily available in the U.K.

Myself and most other young lads in Britain at that time (the 1950's and early 1960's) were heavily invested in William Britain's...Cherilea...Lone Star...and my own personal favourite Timpo, especially their American WW2 GI's.

On the near horizon was Airfix with their great sets of 1:32 plastic soldiers...I never even knew of Marx Playsets until I came to my first 'Chicago Show' in 1985!!!

Best wishes and happy collecting, Andy.

Oh, I see. I remember Timpo Wild West and Britains. Marx was the big seller here in the US and much more reasonably priced back in the day (at least I think). I recall Airfix but never had any until the last few years - purchased a few re-released box sets. Great poses! In fact, I recently created an ammo box Rat Patrol set with some Airfix British 8th, DAK figures, and a couple of CTS tanks and plastic palms. Have not photographed but I think it's a fun little set.

It's always interesting to read what other grew up with and how they inspired our collections/interests now- thanks for sharing! :salute::

Not really , you would hardly change a tyre with troops seated in the back but still a nice diorama

It’s true but I’m sure they’re going to drop off the truck…:rolleyes:
Thanks a lot for your comment.:smile2:

Best regards

Enrico :)
