Is it time to move Figarti and First Legion closer to the top of the posting list? It seems they are gaining ground in number of posts or is there some other criteria used for sorting order...

Works for me but apart from K&C, which would be at the top anyway, it appears to be alphabetical.

K&C will still be ahead of you on the list... :p

And why is that  I'd love to know what got them on top? Sales I guess ? since everyone else is in alphabetical order , not that I care where they stick FL . Number of threads ? Post ? Alphabetical ? it would be nice if they were consistent

How Do They Decide Who Goes Where?

Where manufacturers are placed on the list is a combination of post count and alphabetical order.
In the matte department King & Country and Britains have always had the most discussion hands down so you will always find them at the top for ease of access.

After that things go alphabetically in two tiers--those with the highest post counts are on the main page and those with less post counts on the More Manufacturers pages. Again, this allows members to easily access the ones with the most activity using the fewest clicks. Since post count changes daily it makes more sense to list them alphabetically than by post count.

I check the post counts every few months to see if anything has changed enough to move things around. I also check to see if a company that does not have its own subforum has acquired sufficient posts and discussion to warrant adding them in under 'More Manufacturers.'

Check out today's Forum News for the latest changes.

Best regards,
