is this price realistic? (1 Viewer)

I know the seller and I believe they has to be a typo.

Brad...you might be right...and I thought that at first also...but...when I looked at his ads...he had some JJD planes at $795...as I know nothing about the secondary market on planes...I had to ask...maybe this one is supposed to read $695...and he accidently got a 3 in there to make it $6,953.00...but I asked a friend who is knowledgeable about the price of planes and he said even $695 seemed high to him...

Michael, $695 would be high. The JJD planes are nice but on the retail market I can’t see more than $300-400.

Original JJD price was $298. Plane is retired so I would say $350 is reasonable

You could always send him a message in eBay to ask if that is indeed his asking price or if it's a typo. Maybe he's not aware of it.

OK, here's another example of an eBay auction with a price that looks way off:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Britain-03...e-43087-/325463244849?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276

Britain's Virginia Provincial Regiment, Officer, French & Indian War, listed at $1500. That has got to be a typo, unless it was owned by someone famous, was carried along to the international space station, something else extraordinary. I suspect it was supposed to be $15, priced to move.

I've reached out to the seller to ask if that's the correct asking price; I'll post back if I get a reply.

Prost!
Brad

A postscript....

It's got to be a typo. I just noted that in my watched items, I have another auction from this same seller for another example of this figure, for $15:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/325455583239

But this is still an exercise in checking with a seller if something looks odd about his auction. We'll see if I get a reply and what kind it is.
