Of course I couldn't resist redoing this other piece as well. Here's the start of the repaint.

I repainted the face and hair, added deep shadows, and started to paint the ornaments carefully. But what is most interesting is that the gilt paint has started to transform this piece.

You are correct about the "gilt"...it brightens up the figure and changes a person's focus.

Good work !

Thank you for posting.

That's a great portrait figure, Vic, and that's an excellent finish!

Who makes this figure? Is it metal or another plastic piece?

Prost!
Brad

Hello Ivanhoe and Brad,

Thanks for your kind comments.
It is a hard plastic Café Storme figure.
There were two dominant coffee companies Mokarex and Café Storme giving away these figures with their coffee sales.

The advent and success of these figures eventually led to the launch of the Historex range.

I finished painting this piece.

That figure is a beauty...you do very nice work, classic pose and dress of the time.

I have picked up some "Mokarex and Café Storme" figures over the years, a few at OTSN and a couple through EBay...mainly from the Mokarex "Thierry La Fronde" (?) series, the "Ivanhoe" Mokarex are 'difficult' to find.
I have the "Café Storme" Saint-Gervais, Druidesse & Eburoon figures.
I don't have the painting talent you do though and use them with other unpainted Medieval plastics...very unique figures.

Was not aware of the "Historex" tie in.

Thank you for posting.

I have further touched up the painting on this figure. Added pink to her inner sleeves, highlighted the hair and face.
