I was sitting in my toy soldier room reading today and heard the sound of something falling over. This is never good. I have been watching my two 31093 - Union 28th Massachusetts Irish Brigade Flag-bearer figures start to lean more and more over the last few years. Not sure why I have two, but I do. Well today one of them finally went over. His ankle looks like he was hobbled by Kathy Bates. Those metal flags are beautiful but they are way to heavy. Any one else have this problem ? I did straightened him and will have to touch up the paint. I don't think he's going to last that long though. I may have to cut him and try to insert a pin in the ankle.

Is just me or is this figure the same one that also came in set 17933 - Union Infantry Command Set No.2, Irish Brigade, 28th Massachusetts. That figure seems to be standing straight.

Figure on the left I straightened, but he was leaning way more then the figure on the right before I touched him.

Yeah the flags are beautiful but over time gravity takes over. There have been many discussions over the years here about metal flags so I won't get into the specifics.

I really don't want to get any discussion going here that is negative, but one of the first things I chose to do with any new flags was to make the flag in resin, eliminating the possibility of metal stress. It also allows smaller bases and more dynamic poses.
It just makes sense, and it would be my choice as a model maker and sculptor. With that said, I have this figure from the original production run and it hasn't deformed like this.

Thanks for the responce Ken. Not complaining, just curious if any one else had this problem. Stuff does happen. This was the only time I have ever had this issue, and I have a lot of WB's figures. Like I said both of my single figures 31093 have this issue. The same figure from set 17933 is fine.
