It is so hot the paint dries on my brush before I can get anything done.:(

Fubar: Clear out your refridgerator and paint inside it, you might fit if you got a big fridge. Besides it got a little light in there to guide you. Leadmen

Leadmen, Central air in the house.Very nice in here. The commander won't let me drag all my stuf inside though.I do have a tendancy of taking over a spot for a while.108 here today.Shop was around 90, too hot to paint.
FuBaRRRRRRRRRR

I can't remember it being this hot. When I take my dog for a run in the morning I end up dragging him instead of him dragging me. Maybe there is something to this whole global warming concept.

 Well in the land of oz ,its been the coldest week average 8-at night ,to a top of 15 Ce.40 Days till spring...ern.

Belgium is "suffering" under the hottest summer since 1946. And it looks like this continues for the whole month of July. In our region we have almost every day > 33° Celsius. (It should be around 25° Celsius) I'm only interested in winter tigers, sturmtigers in winter camo and more battle of the bulge dioramas...:p

After the heat exhaustion I had last weekend it is finally cool here. Can't take the heat like I use too. She let me bring paints in to work in house this week, kinda got the run of the place. Caution on any yard work in the heat. Leadmen

Yes, it is no fun getting heat exhaustion and vertigo for five days. Now a little gun shy about the weather. It was worst then the flu. Fred, I am really enjoying reading Burkett's books, finishing second one and best airborne history I read. Feel like making a winter diorama. Out of control again-- 3 orders coming. Blame it on the heat. John

oh for a bit of heat, this has been the coldest winter for us for a long ,long, long time.so much for global warming.

John, have you got the Dragon winter tiger yet, what do you think of it?
I thought the Burgett books were great too, very interesting and easy reading, the first three are awesome, the last one drags just a bit toward the end, but all in all a wonderful account of a great American's WWII experience.

Fred

Vandilay, if it wasn't such a long trip, I'd trade places for some cool weather in a heart beat!:D

I did not get my Dragon order yet. I just ordered it this week. I have their first one the Africa Korp Tiger which I really enjoy. Making some Dragon crew kits and riders to go with it. I did not set it up yet, still in box but took it out-- good workmanship and very pleased with it. I know it is 1/35 scale but through the years I have made many armor kits. Need more room to display them. John

Hey you sissys, We (St. Louis) had a huge storm Wednesday night, knocked out power to over 500000 customers, me included.
The next day, 97 degrees with no electric for air conditioning! Talk about being miserable.
Luckily my power came on yesterday, but another storm hit Friday and 500000 are still without power.
Puts things into perspective when a toy soldier package arrives a day late and you get frustrated.
Gary

The storms here in NYC have been incredible. We live in one of those loft spaces - in an old factory building - we have a great view of Queens so we get to watch storms roll in. Last nights storm was incredible - I've never seen anything quite like it.

Yeah, I think we are in a lot of trouble as far as weather patterns go. While we are being so totally distracted by polarizing BS on the right and equally on the left our world is buckling beneath our feet. And all we do is bicker and argue and yell about meaningless garbage.

Sorry, I feel strongly about this.

This heat spell, May-June-July, is the worst I can remember. It will be 104 degrees today. At our second house in the Palm Springs area, it should be 118. I have been running my two-zone central air conditioners here for weeks now. I dread getting my electric bill.

I'll box up some hot and humid air and mail it to New Zealand. Do you think it will keep?

John, You take it easy in this heat friend. That heat exhaustion can be a killer.
I've gotten it so many times now it comes on easy.Head wants to explode, throat feels like theres an arty round stuck in it , terrible nausea and the ground can just come up and hit you in the face.Lights out.I almost fell off a container vessal a few years back, swooning from 104 degree heat surrounded by steel for 10 hours. You be carefull.
I never minded working in the cold.Well, I do but I can tolerate it better.
You and I are both out of control most of the time.I'll have to wait until 2007 OTSN to see you again so we can wander the halls and enable each others addiction to toy troops.
PS, I cant get my 6'2" frame in the fridge.I went to the farm yesterday evening and when I got home the family had turned off the air, and opened the windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were cold!I went directly to the fridge and stuck my head in .
FubArRrRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sounds like my wife, anything below 95 degrees is cool for her. I should have known better about dehydration. Got my first heat stroke in Borneo after circling for an hour in enclosed amtracs and then hitting sun and 117 degree temps, we all collasped. Working through the years in some 100 degree days on hot locomotives for 12 hour road trips got me twice. At least the 100 car train was stoped when it occured. Locomotives are like a glass house.
