Morning, (or afternoon in your case) Steve.
Can you say where you found those palm trees? They look pretty good.
Also, is that "real" sand or JG Min. "plastic sand"?

A desert scene is a nice way to start a cold and rainy day in Maine! {sm4}

Hi Larry,

JG Miniatures Palm tree This being the medium one.

It's the sand that's real.

Makes a change not to find mini Larry not lost in this Sea of Sand :rolleyes2:^&grin^&grin

Thanks, Steve.

I went to a "building supply store" and found some kids PLAYBOX sand.I have always been worried about using Beach Sand or Roadway Sand due to the potential damage caused by salt content, especially here in Mid-Coast Maine.

Yep Playbox sand, which in my case I picked up from a supermarket is what I've used for the past couple of years, since it also happened to be the lightest coloured sand I could find.
Which you need for those Idyllic Pacific islands with Marines landing, also looks better for the Western desert for those sand dunes too.

This desert Rat type series has always appealed to me Steve. Robin.

Having got this LRDG truck, of course I now will need another truck and some figures to go with it :wink2:^&grin
