I agree, would've preferred the longer barrel version, but still wanted one of these--I applied several 'dirty washes' and some pigments to tone down the camo brightness-I'm happy with it

Awesome scene, Mike! Great to see another collector do a setup with a First Legion Jagdpanzer IV. I like how you also gave the model some darker washes to tone down the bright colors, just like I did on mine last year 😉

Ironically, the version of the Jagdpanzer IV that First Legion created - a very early Spring 1944 production Jagdpanzer IV L/48 - is appropriate for the Normandy campaign, through most of the Jagdpanzers involved in that battle would have been more standard production variants and had the zimerit paste applied with the spare tracks stowed on the rear of the vehicle… The long barreled Jagdpanzer IV L/70 (V) first appeared in August 1944 and was widely used in late war battles long after Normandy.
 
Mike that looks fantastic, I don't recognize that commander figure standing could you tell me a bit about him.
