All,

Watched this documentary last night about Director James Camerons (Titanic, Abyss, Avatar) Deepsea Challenge expedition. I don't know what happened but I missed this in the news somehow and man oh man was it a good documentary. The dude funded and built the first privately owned manned submersible to go down the Marianas Trench, the deepenst part of the ocean. What a feat! But, he was not the first do it as the documentary pays an ode to the original deep sea divers; Lt. Don Walsh USN and Jaques Piccard who (Lt. Don Walsh) were witness to Cameron's dive.

All I can tell you is that the visuals are stunning! Cameron nailed the real life intensity of living out his dream and working with a TON of people to do it. If you have a chance to check this one out, do so. You get a thorough education on the engineering of the submersible, the science behind the dive and the passion of Cameron and crew.
