Has anyone else noticed the Japanese truck that occasionally turns up in K&C's Pacific promo pictures? Does anyone know if this will be a future release and what type of truck it is?

I must not be to observant since I pour over all Andy's WWII Pacific dios … as well as Thomas Gunn scenes.
Can you point me to one of the promos that you reference?

My guess is that Andy and Gordon are masters of discovering all sorts of items from various sources and incorporating them into their setups.

I think Andy said it was a Diecast pickup truck that they had picked up somewhere and had hanging about their studio, It might of been a Dodge pickup, though I can't swear to that.
Andy will have the answer for sure !

Now that you post this I do remember something to that effect.

Vincent, as I mentioned, like all of the very talented diorama builders on this forum (Steve, Mike, Duke, Guy, Rob .. so many more) one of their secrets is to find and utilize items picked up along the way. I think this is one of those cases.

Hi Vincent,
The little truck you have been asking about is a 'Dodge' vehicle produced by the HK company 'New Ray'...

A couple of years ago they were everywhere and pretty cheap too. Gordon had one kicking around his workshop and decided to convert it into a Japanese-captured truck by repainting and adding a little Jap flag here and there...

Like many other collectors here it's amazing what you can pick up here and there and convert or disguise for your own displays and dioramas...

All it takes is a sharp pair of eyes and a little dash of creativity and imagination.
