Jerusalem early May 1187

The Kingdom of Jerusalem was at this time divided between the "court faction" of Guy and Raynald of Chatillon, as well as Gerard of Ridefort and the Knights Templar; and the other side by "nobles’ faction", led by Raymond III of Tripoli, who opposed the succession of Guy.

The situation was so tense that there was almost open warfare between Raymond and Guy.

By July 4, 1187 the Army was completely defeated at the Battle of Hattin. There were fewer than fourteen knights left to defend the city.

Rod

What a great setup. Your building skills are most impressive. I had no idea you also collected this subject.

Randy

P.S. If we can just get you to start collecting the French & Indian War I bet you could make great models of the forts at Ticonderoga and Louisbourg.:)

Hello Randy, thanks again for your gentles comments.

You right I just collect European-WWII, but lately nothing interesting is available (maybe will be on the March dispatchers...:cool:), so I decided to go with Crusaders. it is new for me, but I always liked this era specially the religion fanaticism.

Cheers

Rod.

Beautiful work. Thanks for posting the great pics. I really enjoyed it.

That is some modelling!

Really spectacular! Between your Berlin diorama and this wonderful Walls of Jerusalem set up, you have demonstrated that you are a true artist when it comes to dioramas!

Thanks a lot..:) I am glad that you guys liked, it is my first non WWII Dio with new series, unfortunately I just have 5 Crusaders to display, here 3 more.

Again thanks for the nice complements.

Have a good week.

Rodrigo.
