Interestingly enough (at least to me) - March 31 was also the 50th anniversary of the day that Lee Harvey Oswald posed with his rifle and pistol in the infamous backyard photos. He asked his wife Marina to take some bizarre pictures of himself dressed in black and holding the guns and various left wing literature. A lot speculation about why he did so, but he apparently viewed himself as some type of revoluntionary hero. He would send one of the photos to a left wing publication. A few weeks later he would attempt to shoot General Walker in Dallas. The photos have generated an endless history of debate with conspiracy theorists contending to this day that they were faked to frame Oswald. In 1978, the House Select Committee on Assassinations did an extensive scientific review of the photos and determined they were authentic. They even concluded from the photos that identification marks on the rifle matched those of the rifle found on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository (there are some who claim Oswald never ordered or received the rifle).
