Tom & I have been invited back to the upcoming Event at Jim Hillestad's Toy Soldier Museum in Pennsylvania!
Beautiful property, great people, TONS of Toy Soldiers! A definite visit any collector should undertake.

5459 Paradise Valley Rd
Cresco, Pennsylvania 18326
Saturday October 28th - 10am - 4pm

I will be flying out Friday morning and Tom gets the joy of picking me up at the BWI airport again and driving! Hope to see some of you there!

I will create a Facebook Album again - I can do that much faster on my phone in the car (once we have good cell signal!) than posting on here directly.
"Like" our Facebook page for the fastest information, and even if you do not have a Facebook account you can still check out our Photo Albums!

Have to miss it, unfortunately; friends of mine are having a party on Saturday. I'll see you all at the show on Sunday.

Prost!

There will be six Ontario Model Soldier (OMSS) members there, hope Jim has some beer. Hackensack next day.

Looking forward to it, hope the weather is a good as last year.

Thanks for sharing those photos, Julie! I haven't been up to the museum for a number of years, and it's nice to get to see the displays, new ones, and ones I remember from those past visits.

Prost!

Louis just wrote: "Jim Hillestad no longer holds an open house that weekend". Anyone knows whats going on?

He used to have an open house in May. We didn’t — or I didn’t — realize he ceased the May open house.

Brad

Yeah, I wasn't aware if he has dropped the open house he used to hold before our show. But looking now at his website:

http://the-toy-soldier.com/home.cfm?

I see that he only mentions the open house before the East Coast show in Hackensack.

Prost!
Brad

Jim has the open house the day before the East Coast Hackensack show. Well worth attending for ideas and friendship. The may date was dropped many years ago.
