I know John reads these forums, but doesn't participate. But it would be interesting - at least to me - if he provided background on why he selects certain lines or figures for production. Maybe point out some historical points of interest on certain figures or stories that he comes across in his research or anything that he might want to pass along. I know a few collectors correspond with him and he is accessible in that manner, but a blog or something might be useful for the larger group. Anyway just a thought on a slow, snowy Friday.

he does look at it occassionaly...who wouldn't...but if he doesn't post a reply to your question...he's pretty good about returning emails...I wish he would open an account on here and have a one day a week "field question answer day"...just one day a week to address questions...

COME ON JOHN...IT MIGHT CUT DOWN ON EMAILS TO YOU

Excellent ideas. I would love to be able to post questions about JJD's plans for the WW1 air war and the 1745 rising, my two favorite era's to collect. -- Al

Yes it would be nice if John joined the forum. I hope your reading this thread John....

John...you could come on once a week just to answer the questions...every Sunday...or any day...

I don't know that John necessarily needs to engage in back and forth on the forum although that would be great. Just some occasional insight maybe on his website about things like the Red Baron's plane and the difficulties involved in resolving the many controversies relating to it. Like the color, markings etc. There are probably a lot of interesting things about these figures and vehicles that none of us even notice. That's a shame.

yes I must agree...would be nice to discuss things with John with his avid collectors....all together :D

One day a week mighty be a bit much to start. How about one day a month?
