Just picked up Roman bridge today and it's massive. Will take a lot of figures to fill it out. Greg.

Wow Greg nice one :salute::

Yes troops marching over it or a part of a battle being fought on it.
it looks tremendous already when you build the rest of your diorama around it, it'll be a show stopper.

I will be using this bridge for various series in my collection. It looks good Greg. Glad it has come up to expectations. Robin.

That is an wonderful pick up~~{sm3}
Ya' it is BIG and it will take a lot of figures to fill the bridge and do it justice.

^&cool BUT ... maybe that was what John intended! :rolleyes2:

Knowing your talents this should be something to see in the future!!!

I've been thinking of the best way to utilise the bridge in a spectacular scene. As I intend to get the Roman and Carthaginian ships what would be the best way to incorporate them together? A lot to think about and thanks for the comments. Greg.

First you need a lot of space!

I'm doing two giant displays. One for Caesar's Gallic Wars which will use JJD's bridge and Roman fort with the later Republican legions.
The Punic War display will incorporate the Battle of Zama and a naval engagement. Not necessarily accurate but should look fantastic.
Looking forward to more early Republic Romans and command groups for both series. Cavalry is in the works I think.
JJD along with other makers can supply the Gauls and Celts. I am hoping that Carthaginian troops (Numidians, Spaniards and elephants) will be
forthcoming. It may, however, take another year or so to complete.

My thoughts are leaning towards having the bridge in the fore ground spanning a river and a battle on and around the bridge. The ships will be in the background on a larger body of water. Might work ok? Greg.

Look forward to those dioramas and it would be terrific if the figures you spoke off were released. Regards Greg.

Sure, why not.....looking forward to seeing yours.

That's quite a structure. - No plans for this with my JJD Romans and Celts, but thinking of modifying one of these for the Battle of Stamford Bridge and the upcoming JJD 1066 figures.

Already thought about that. Certainly big enough to take all the prototype figures on JJD site. Length about 29inches, 740 mm including both ramps. Greg.

I had a few cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances if anyone still wants one of these beauties!
Roman Pontoon Bridge
They are in stock and ready to go!

Would you mind posting a picture using only one bridge section between the ramps?

Sent you a visitor message ccdc11. Let me know if you haven't received it. Greg.

Yes there will be lots of uses for this great bridge. Robin.

So who's going to do a Horatius at the Bridge inspired diorama then ?
