Some of you may have seen this at the OTSN show...After a year or so in discussion, John Jenkins and Hobby Bunker came to an agreement to re-introduce the stockade fort parts in poly-foam and are being made in the USA. I am waiting for stock to be made and should have prices and more info by the end of the month. The pieces will be sold as a set and by the piece. They should match up fine with the original ones, although the bases are slightly thicker and the blockhouse is not in 2 halves.sat-sun-08.jpg

Anyways here are a few pics, coloring, etc. will probably be a little different than shown here.

This is great.I've always been sorry that I sold mine off. This is a sure thing down the road for me.

Does the roof come off the bock house?

Will you have a gate?

Thanks,

Matthew

Matt...curious if the gate opens too...

this would be a cheap way to build a HUGE fort...

This is such a great idea, Matt! If I ever collect that era, I will have to get this!

Sorry, just had a closer look and there is a gate there. It's on the left side of the picture. I hope it does open.

The blockhouse is in 3 pieces, Roof does come off and we were able to get all the interior detail, The gate is one solid piece. However this is foam so the gate doors can easily be cut and repositioned. If I made the doors out of resin with hinges it would end up costing the some or more than John's original!

It looks like blockhouse will be around 60.00, compared to original of 188.00!

Walls about 8.00 ea., gate about 12.00 and cabin 35.00. Will come out with final costs shortly and will be posted on our site www.hobbybunker.com probably listed under JJD and Hobby Bunker, Inc. (with our other diorama products).

The tooling costs were higher than I thought plus some compensation for my father to re-work them to be foamed and an agreement with John. Anyways just like everything else in the hobby these days, nothing is cheap anymore!

Great idea, Matt!

I'm sure the foam pieces will be easier and lighter to handle. I'm making a note of this for our next Museum display in W Mass.

Matt- I think PJ will be your biggest customer- he will probably make himself a giant fort with 4 gates and 16 blockhouses- seeing as he already has a bunch of the JJ fort.

Hi Matt,

Will you these sets at the East Coaster show in Hackensack?
