I just got my CAN-01 set in the mail today.

I posted some close ups if anybody was thinking about getting one, they can view some detail here.

All 3 Chippawa are removeable and can placed in any portion of the canoe.

One is holding a musket, two are holding oars, permanently attatched.

An extra musket and set of bow in case are included.

The canoe is flat on the bottom and very stable.

CAN-02 is on the way and CAN-03 is pre-ordered for May.

I will post photos when they arrive.

I particularly like the musket, straps and feathers.

Nice detail, but I don't think paddeling through my Rorke's Drift sand does the canoe justice, lol.

hey mike. also have 1 and 2, waiting for 3..... with all 3 canoes, a diorama can be biult suggesting a returning war party to their village. the indian in canoe 1 calling victory yells to alert the village, to either get the gauntlet or the torture stake ready, while in canoe 3, the warrior is getting ready to show off his captive and captured plunder. the 2 frenchmen are along for the ride.

Andy,

A "returning war party" is a good idea for a diorama.

I have WHRR 1-2 coming along with CAN -02 and 03, and I was thinking of a rescue scene with the whaleboats pursueing.

It's going to have to be a big river though.

Concerning sets RR01-RR02, owners of these sets, or people who have seen them, will someone respond to this questions?

Are the three Rangers, in these two sets that are posed kneeling into the barrel and sitting on the barrels permanently attached to the barrels?

ALSO FOR THE MORE ADVANCED HOBBYIST!

I have used the Woodland's Scenic Realistic Water product, and while it looked really good the first month, I have noticed bubbling in the once smooth river I made.

Somewhere I read about a commercial sealing product, maybe it was a varnish or a clear laquer that was used for standing water, I can't remember.

Woodland's Scenic Realistic Water @ $16.00 for 16 ounces is kind of pricey for me.

Does anybody know what commercial product I'm talking about and if so can they send information or a link?

Michael

Randy,

thanks, I was going to call you if nobody replied.

I kind of figured so.

Can any of the RR01-02's be posed in either of the whaleboats?

Can the whaleboat figures in WHRR01 be posed in WHRR02 or does WHRR02 always have to be docked and stationary?

Thanks,

Michael

PS...I posted on your cartoon , very good.

Hi Mike

Ironically, the Fed Ex truck just dropped off RR-02 and the figure leaning on the barrel is Not attached.

Randy,

Thanks for clearing that up, I had misunderstood you earlier, thinking you had said they were attatched.

This is better, unattatched, a little more flexibility as he can be used as a passenger too.

Versatile figures are the best for diorama photos always,

Thanks, Michael

All the other figures in RR-01 and 02 have attached barrels.
